Sterling comes to us from Sliding S Aussies in Caldwell Idaho. He is a full younger brother to 2016 ASCA Supreme Champion Stockdog “Oakley” WTCH-X SLIDING S LAND’S END SURE SHOT PATDcs ATD-Xcd AFTDcs DNA-VP. Sterling has always displayed a natural circle, and impeccable sense of group and balance on stock. He treats his sheep kindly and rates them well. On ducks he has a very natural sense of rate, and keeps even difficult ducks and geese grouped together. Sterling works cattle calmly and with authority. He has a lot of power on both heads and heels, and grips both ends appropriately. He has worked in a variety of situations, including working heifers, bulls, and cow/calf pairs in fenced fields, pens, and unfenced areas up to 15km’s during cattle drives. He is a very quiet worker and does not bark when working, but will snarl at cows if they challenge him. Sterling’s focus and desire to please also carries into other areas, and he is a multiple High in Trial winning Rally and Obedience dog.

Sterling has sired one litter, and the puppies are currently training on stock and in agility. They have a keen eye and are displaying his natural sense of balance and group on stock. He is standing at stud to approved bitches.

Sterling winning High Combined Non-WTCH and his dam Skye winning High Combined WTCH under judges Betty Williams and Dana Mackenzie.

In his first weekend of trialing in started stock (August 2015) he earned all his titles. In May 2016 I entered him in Open for his 2nd weekend of trialing, and he got his open sheep and open duck titles with consistently high scores, and one open cattle leg. Sterling also went High in Trial in sheep and ducks and was runner up for cattle.

2015 Achievements:

• Made his ring debut at the 2015 ASC of WA Summer spectacular, earning 2 RNX legs and a HIT his first time out!
