View Pedigree for this breeding

This is a planned repeat breeding of our first litter here at Superfly dogs. This pairing produced puppies with excellent temperaments and conformation, who have great work ethic and drive, and a keen and instinctual working style on stock. At 3 years old they are beloved family pets, as well as successful competitors.

  • Superfly’s Drop Red Gorgeous “Cerise” is the 2018 Nationals Most Versatile Aussie, as well as the Non-WTCH winner in both Nationals stockdog trial and the Montana Pretrial.
  • Superfly’s The Grateful Red “Rubin” is a CKC champion, and just 4 points away from his ASCA championship. He placed 8th in MVA at the 2018 nationals, and is a promising upcoming stockdog.
  • Superfly’s Red Mountain Girl “Laurel” is competing in masters agility in AAC
  • Superfly’s Red Dirt Girl “Badger” earned her ASCA ATCH, as well as Advanced Rally and started duck titles this year. Badger placed 1st in Gamblers at the 2018 ASCA agility finals.
  • Superfly’s Spec of Rust “Rusty” competes in obedience and agility in Germany.
  • Superfly’s Runnin’ Red Lights “Rogue” represents us in Flyball and Dockdiving, and he can definitely fly!

cocoa_movementCocoa is my first purebred Aussie. I got her at 10 months old, and I didn’t even know herding was a thing people still did with their dogs! As I became more involved in dog sports and my training goals changed, Cocoa was right there with me. She is the best kind of dog a newbie could ask for: always willing to try something new and never takes my training mistakes personally. Cocoa’s work ethic and loyalty to the cause led her to placing 3rd in MVA at the 2016 ASCA Nationals, and at the 2018 ASCA Nationals she placed 2nd, to her own daughter Cerise. Her son Rubin also made the top 10, and their sister Badger was an MVA qualifier as well.

In obedience (and everything else) she is very eager to please, and remains fairly confident in trial settings. She is a real team player and loves to work with me, which makes her so enjoyable as a training partner. She is my first competition obedience dog. Her 3 Novice level Q’s were all High in Class, and in Open she has 1 HiC and 2 High in Trials. We’re still working on getting ready for Utility! She has won many High in Trials in the Rally ring, and is currently working towards her REMX in ASCA.

Considering that she is my first herding dog and doesn’t have a lot of titled working dogs in her pedigree, Cocoa has done very well. She has nice square flanks, and is very biddable. She does not have a lot of natural eye and tends to work fairly close, but she is very kind to her stock. She absolutely loves to work ducks and geese. On the farm she is handy helping with chores, and she earned her Advanced Sheep and Open Duck titles in her first weekend of trialing. Her first experience with Cattle was trialing in Started, and she scored very well with an 86 and a 97/100. Later, she was able to earn her Open and Advanced Cattle titles in one weekend, and went High in Trial cattle to finish off her WTCH. She has now handed over the MVA and stock trialing reins to her children, but will continue working on agility and rally, as well as remaining the benevolent matriarch of the Superfly dog pack.

quinn_feature copyQuinn has been extremely focused and keen in all his training right from day 1. On stock Quinn is a very talented and stylish worker. He works wide and uses moderate eye on his sheep. With very limited exposure to cattle he has shown a lot of natural ability, he hits heads and is a strong and stylish heeler.
